Fallout Shelter Celebrates 10 Years with Its Biggest Update Yet: Seasons Launch with “Viva New Vegas”

A decade after its surprise launch and more than 230 million downloads worldwide, Fallout Shelter is proving that life in the Vault is still thriving. Bethesda Game Studios has officially rolled out the game’s first-ever Season, marking its largest update since Quests were introduced in 2016—and it’s available now for players on Android, iOS, and Steam.

Seasons Arrive in the Vault

Inspired by Vault-Tec’s love of questionable experiments, Seasons introduce a brand-new way to experience Fallout Shelter. Each Season features limited-time Vaults that are completely separate from a player’s main Vault, offering fresh challenges, progression, and rewards without disrupting long-term builds.

Every Season will carry a unique theme, giving players new objectives to tackle and exclusive loot to earn. Best of all, Seasons are accessible to all players, making this update a major evolution of the Shelter experience.

Viva New Vegas Kicks Things Off

The debut Season, Viva New Vegas, draws inspiration from the upcoming Prime Video Fallout television series, blending classic franchise nostalgia with new content. During the Season, players can embark on special Quests to help revitalize iconic locations like Novac and New Vegas, bringing familiar wasteland landmarks into the Shelter format.

Introducing the Season Pass

Alongside Seasons comes the Season Pass, a progression-based rewards tracker unique to each Season. By completing in-game challenges, players can unlock a mix of new and returning items, including weapons, outfits, pets, and dwellers—plus three characters from the Fallout TV series.

Players can choose between two tracks:

  • Free Season Pass – Earn rewards just by playing.
  • Paid Season Pass – Unlock premium rewards as you progress.

Notably, rewards are retroactive, meaning players who upgrade later in the Season won’t miss out on previously earned unlocks.

Premium Season Pass Perks

For Vault Overseers who want it all, the Premium Season Pass Upgrade delivers every paid reward plus bonus extras, including:

  • Exclusive pets, outfits, and weapons
  • 25 Badges to instantly gain Season ranks
  • And the standout reward: Mr. House as a Legendary Dweller

Available Now

Fallout Shelter’s Viva New Vegas Season is live today on mobile devices and Steam, ushering in a new era for one of Bethesda’s most enduring titles. Whether you’re a longtime Overseer or returning after years away, there’s never been a better time to reopen the Vault door.

Buffet Bliss or Southern Swing-and-a-Miss? A Bite at Kacey’s in Huntsville

Walk through the doors of Kacey’s Country Cooking in Huntsville and you’re greeted by the comforting smell of fried chicken, collard greens, and cornbread that could double as perfume for any true Southerner. This is where the buffet line reigns supreme, the sweet tea flows endlessly, and dessert is always just an arm’s reach away. For many locals, Kacey’s is a comfort food paradise. Fans brag about the fried green tomatoes, juicy pork chops, slow-cooked beef tips, and banana pudding that deserves its own holiday. The staff are another highlight—quick with refills, friendly enough to feel like family, and the kind of people who can make a buffet feel like Sunday dinner at grandma’s. But Kacey’s has its critics too. Some diners rave about “the best bang for your buck in town,” while others complain that the food sometimes veers into “straight-from-the-can” territory. Like most buffets, it’s a roll of the dice: hit the line on a good day and you’ll be full and happy; catch it on an...

Step Back in Time at Ole Towne Café in Ardmore

If you’ve ever wished you could step into your grandma’s kitchen and smell fresh biscuits baking while bacon sizzles in the skillet, Ole Towne Café in Ardmore, Alabama, is the next best thing. Tucked along Main Street, this little diner doesn’t just serve food—it serves nostalgia. Walking in, you’re greeted with that small-town charm you just can’t fake. The walls are lined with country décor, the coffee flows like a friendly neighbor’s gossip, and everyone seems to know everyone else. Even if you’re new in town, you’ll feel like family after your first cup of coffee. The menu is straight out of a Southern comfort cookbook. The catfish plates are fried to crispy perfection, the hamburger steaks come smothered in gravy that tastes like Sunday supper, and the breakfast plates are legendary—big fluffy pancakes, biscuits as big as your hand, and hash browns that come golden and crispy.
