TCG Con Sand Mountain Brings Collectors and Cosplayers Together for a Packed Day in Albertville

The energy is building in Albertville as TCG Con Sand Mountain is officially underway today, transforming Sand Mountain Park into a hub for trading card enthusiasts, collectors, gamers, and cosplay fans alike.

Running from 10AM to 5PM, the event is drawing crowds with a wide mix of attractions tailored to both hardcore collectors and families looking for a fun day out. With over 30,000 square feet of space filled with vendors, artists, and interactive experiences, attendees are stepping into a marketplace packed with everything from rare cards to nostalgic collectibles.

At the heart of the convention are trading card games, featuring titles like Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, One Piece, and more. Organized play and dedicated TCG events are giving players the chance to compete, trade, and connect with others in the community.

Beyond the cards, the convention floor offers a broad range of collectibles including comics, video games, Funko Pops, anime merchandise, Star Wars items, vintage and modern toys, and even 3D-printed creations. Artist alley is also active, showcasing original and fan art from creators across the region.

One of the standout attractions today is the $500 cosplay contest, hosted by Poke Girl Jessie and Matty G. Cosplayers are already turning heads with detailed costumes, bringing fan-favorite characters to life and adding a vibrant visual layer to the event.

Families are finding plenty to enjoy as well, with free gifts for kids, face painting, and open access to free-play video games provided by MRE Arcade. Raffles and giveaways totaling $2,000 are also keeping excitement high throughout the day.

Special guests Alex Ogle and Patrick Giles are on-site, giving fans the opportunity to meet creators and personalities connected to the hobby.

With free parking and affordable entry, including free admission for kids 13 and under, the event is designed to be accessible while still delivering a convention-level experience.

As the day continues, TCG Con Sand Mountain is proving to be more than just a marketplace. It’s a community gathering point where trading, gaming, art, and fandom collide in one high-energy space.
