Play Games. Heal Kids. Extra Life (Feature)

10,000 gamers have already jumped on board to help kick-off support for the Extra Life cause through the Xbox 360 G3 event that happened last week. The official Extra Life marathon will be held this Saturday, Oct. 15. This cause benefits local kids as the money raised will stay in the community where it was given and will help save the lives of local children.

The largest children’s hospital charity is launching a 24-hour video game fundraising marathon called Extra Life.  The event, held on Saturday, Oct.  15, will help save the lives of children at local hospitals.  Each Extra Life participant is asked to raise money by recruiting at least four sponsors to give a minimum of $1 for each hour of the marathon. This fundraiser has extra meaning as it was created to honor the late Victoria Enmon, a 15-year-old girl who played video games during her battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Families and friends can join together to play video games for this great cause. Mobile phone games or even board games can count too.  For more information or to sign-up visit www.extra-life.org.
