Activision/Blizzard's ever popular World of Warcraft is still continuing to lose subscribers. The game had 12 million subscribers this time last year and now stands at 10.3 million players. The game is losing many subscribers from the East and the company has realized that improvements need to be made in the game's content. Following the last big expansion, Cataclysm,
where over 1 million players were lost, as experienced players of the game re-opened their accounts, gobbled
the content rapidly, and then unsubscribed once again. Blizzard hopes to bring in more subscribers with the next expansion pack, Mists of Pandaria and with the promotion of free copies of the company's upcoming Diablo III which will be included in the annual pass purchase of the game.
