GameStop Offers First Access to Experience the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime, Powered by the New Quad-Core NVIDIA(R) Tegra(R) 3 Processor
The next generation of Android tablets make their debut this holiday
season and GameStop (NYSE: GME) is providing the first opportunity to
get hands-on with the new quad-core NVIDIA® Tegra®
3 processor. Select stores nationwide will have the ASUS Eee Pad
Transformer Prime, the first tablet to use the new Tegra 3 chip,
available for demo beginning this weekend.
“With increased processing speed and display performance, the Tegra 3
chip allows for even more immersive tablet gaming,” stated GameStop
president, Tony Bartel. “We are thrilled to be the first to show
consumers what it can do.” The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime is available for pre-order at www.GameStop.com/Tablets
and in select U.S. GameStop stores. On Dec. 19, online orders will begin
shipping and in-store pre-orders will be available for pickup.
All ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablets purchased at GameStop come
with a hand-picked selection of free games, including Shadowgun from
MADFINGER Games, the Kongregate Arcade app and a digital issue of Game
Informer magazine. To take the tablet gaming experience to the next
level and maximize on-screen viewing during game play, GameStop also
offers a wireless Bluetooth® controller available for
purchase in stores or online. And, as with all products sold by
GameStop, these items can be purchased with trades of games, consoles
and even an old iPod, iPhone or iPad.
