Days of the Dead II Revisited (Event Report)

Exclusive Days of the Dead 2011 Issue
BioGamer Girl's first big convention appearance was at Days of the Dead 2011 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The event featured many big name guests and highly entertaining events over the weekend of July1-3. Days of the Dead was a great time for both BioGamer Girl as a vendor and as a horror fan. From the insanity that Roddy Piper brought to the special An Evening with Roddy Piper event to the interesting Q&A panels and of course the crazy fun late night parties, Days of the Dead 2011 was a wonderful event. In fact, the event was so great that BioGamer Girl eventually released a special edition magazine completely dedicated to the spectacular event.

So naturally, BioGamer Girl had to make it to the next Days of the Dead in Atlanta, Georgia. Guests at this year's event included Roddy Piper, Sid Haig, Gary Busey, Bill Moseley, John A. Russo and many more. There were also a ton of exciting events including the return of An Evening with Roddy Piper and That Damned Tattoo Contest! If you're a fan of horror movies or even a fan of having a good time, this was not an event you wanted to miss. BioGamer Girl was able to make the event, and we managed to score a few new contacts from which you can expect future content, and we also managed to secure some cool photos of the event which you'll find in the summer issue of BGG. BioGamer Girl reporters, Jeremy Rowell and Nathan Tomlinson, will finally reveal how their first horror convention experience went out with a bang in issue #14 of BioGamer Girl.

All in all, Days of the Dead in Atlanta managed to surpass expectations, as it managed to be even greater than the first. The event ran more smoothly than the last, the guests were very entertaining and cooperative, and the fellow fans were even more courteous and polite than usual. BioGamer Girl decided it wouldn't be in our best interest to create another special edition magazine dedicated to the event, since we were currently neck deep in getting our first issue of the year out, but we did want to give the event some much deserved coverage.

You can be sure that BioGamer Girl will make its way to Atlanta next year if Days of the Dead makes another return. However on July 6-8, 2012, BioGamer Girl plans to return to where it all started--Days of the Dead in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Scream Team members from our awesome correspondents the Midnight Spookshow will be joining us for the amazing experience this time around, and Indianapolis is already bracing for the chaos that will be emanating from the meeting of the these titans of horror media. Scheduled guests at the event include John Waters, Bill Moseley, Kane Hodder and many others. You can also expect a great lineup of events for the convention including special Q&A panels, late night parties and a special presentation of John Water's show This Filthy World.

Also, make sure to check out yet another great event when Days of the Dead visits Chicago on November 16-18!
