Hunger Games 2012 (Movie Review)

The Hunger Games is based on author Suzanne Collins The Hunger Games novel, and like other films based on famous novels, director Gary Ross had to decide which parts of the book would stay and which would need to be cut for the final release of his film.

What Ross decided to feature in his film were the characters' unique histories and their continuing hardships in a cruel world. Although not everything from the novel made it into the film, several important factors translated well in The Hunger Games film. First, the pacing and character development is right on par with what one would find in the book. The Hunger Games' world and characters have also been translated well with Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson pulling off excellent performances in their respective roles. This new adaptation of the highly popular novel is an amazing watch for newcomers and fans of the series alike. This is a highly emotional film that can be appreciated by fans young and old, and the hype surrounding the film was definitely there for good reason. The Hunger Games is one of those special films that only comes around once every few years, so make sure you don't miss it!
