Dead Hungry Diner (Video Game Review)

Black Market Game's Dead Hungry Diner is a fast paced action-puzzler that puts a whole new twist on managing your own restaurant. If you always loved the Diner Dash games and thought that they could never be topped then Dead Hungry Diner will prove you wrong. In many ways Dead Hungry Diner has exceeded the Diner Dash series by adding in creative new approaches like no other. The game starts out with a zombie outbreak that overtakes an orphanage and two twins escapeGabe and Gabby. The duo soon discover that the creatures can be satisfied with brain berries to stop them from wrecking the town.

The gameplay will feel reminiscence of many restaurant-themed management games where you will need to keep your customers happy by seating them, serving them and then cleaning up their mess all within a timely fashion. Just as it would in real lifemaking your customers wait will start to upset them and their bars will decrease. As you complete each new level then more is added to your plateyour restaurant will get busier and a wider array of creatures start to pour in. You soon learn that every creature will require a certain strategysuch as angry customers will need to be shuffled for faster service so they don't wreck havoc on the town. Also, many creatures will not want to set next to other types and will have to be moved around in order to avoid confrontation.

Dead Hungry Diner also includes various spells to help you complete the levels as you progress, such as increasing patience and speed. You will also be allowed to buy upgrades in "Shady's Shop" and visit the "Blackest Market" to allow you to utilize your restaurant to its fullest potential. The graphics are visually appealing and are accompanied by a great soundtrack. Dead Hungry Diner features over 55 levels across 5 worlds with two gameplay modesso you will never grow tired of feeding the dead! This unusual, spooky game can be enjoyed with the whole family, and kids will love its humorous and fun atmosphere!
