Dragon's Dogma Demo Due April 24, 2012

Capcom's anticipated game Dragon's Dogma will be releasing a demo across North America via PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE on April 24, 2012. The demo will give players a taste of the action that can be expected from the full version of the game that releases on May 22, 2012. In the demo, you are allowed to create your playable character and main pawn that will assist you in combat by using the complete character creation tools available in the full version of Dragon's Dogma. You will then be allowed to save the characters you create for export into the full version of the game when it is released. If that wasn't enough of a reason to get excited for the demo, you will also take on a deadly Chimeran monster in a prologue to the full epic adventure controlling a character from the melee specialist Fighter class. You can also choose to battle it out with the powerful Griffin in the fields outside of the capital of Gransys as a Strider class. You're going to want to check this game out, so read on for more details!

About Dragon's Dogma

Stories of the Dragon and its cyclical return have been shared around the family hearths of your seaside village for decades. Few had seen the legendary scaled beast up close. Until that fateful day when it appears in the sky far above your quiet coastal town of Cassardis… As villagers flee, their terrified screams rending the air around you, you stand your ground at the water’s edge ready to protect your people, your home. The massive crimson beast’s leathery wings slow its rapid descent to alight before the only human left. With each crashing step, it moves closer, flattening itself and creeping as a predator that stalks its prey. You have fallen back into the shallow water and do not have time to rise before the great Dragon’s head lowers menacingly toward you and eclipses the sunlight. It is to you and you alone it speaks, its deep and resounding voice reverberating throughout your being.
If you would face me…seek me out… So close now the heat of its breath can barely be withstood, its great glowing white eyes peer deeply into yours. You realize that the Dragon is not looking into your eyes, but into your very soul. Suddenly it eyes change, filling with red light. It lifts a giant black talon deftly over you . A searing fiery pain rips through chest and, in a reality worse than any nightmare imaginable, the great beast holds your still beating heart before you. I shall hold your little keepsake safe. And the blackness overcomes you. This is your end. Yet somehow, it is your new beginning. You awaken with nothing more than a burning scar across your now empty chest. The memories of the old legends begin to bubble to the surface and fill in the pieces. It is written that the Dragon comes and goes throughout the ages, seeking those who would stand up against the darkness unleashed upon the lands. Once sought and found, the Dragon would steal their heart.
