Weather Lord (Video Game Review)

Alawar Entertainment's Weather Lord is a innovative game that is based on time management and using the weather to cultivate the crops of the land. The game begins by introducing you to Mr. Weatherman who will show you how to encompass the role of the "Weather Lord" and your new abilities to control the weather. After you are introduced to the various components of nature then you will be asked to combine them to get various balances in order to complete your tasks.

Each crop will require a certain mix of weather for it to come to fruition. For example, corn requires a certain amount of rain and sun before it will be ready to harvest. You will have to combine two clouds in order to produce a rain cloud to complete this task. As you level then you will be able to purchase a wide array of weather elements and even trade in ones you no longer need for cash.

As you progress further into the game then you will have to take on many challenges including leveraging green technology, upgrading plantations, processing crops into manufactured goods and performing other various tasks as needed. The graphics in Weather Lord are both visually appeasing and interesting which manages to keep your attention throughout the entire game. The soundtrack and effects are beautifully done and match the game well. There are over 40 levels, tons of variety in level objectives, and the unique game mechanic makes this game a great addition to your collection. The game keeps a refreshing, family-oriented atmosphere which makes it enjoyable to kids of all ages! If you have ever wanted to say "Rain, Rain Go Away" then you will finally have the power to do that in Weather Lord!
