Jason Graves and Kevin Riepl Join The Resistance

Resistance: Burning Skies will release later this month with an original score by two great composers. Read on for details!

Award-winning composers Jason Graves (Dead Space) and Kevin Riepl (Gears of War) have created an original score for Resistance: Burning Skies™, the first fully portable, true first person shooter experience only available on Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC (SCEA)'s PlayStation®Vita (PS Vita) handheld entertainment system. Developed by Nihilistic Software, Resistance: Burning Skies is the PS Vita debut of the popular PlayStation®3 (PS3™) computer entertainment system's first person shooter franchise, Resistance®. Graves and Riepl each wrote forty minutes of emotional, suspenseful and epic action orchestral music, delivering the most dynamic and thrilling score in the series yet. Resistance: Burning Skies is scheduled for release on May 29.

Set in an alternate universe, Resistance: Burning Skies stays true to the franchise with unique 1950's Americana locations and hordes of returning and never-before-seen Chimera. Taking place in the Resistance storyline between Resistance®2 and Resistance®3, Resistance: Burning Skies follows New York City firefighter Tom Riley as he experiences first-hand the initial days of the Chimeran assault across the U.S. eastern seaboard. Riley travels from city to city, searching for his family but finds himself an integral part of the battle. Riley meets other bands of survivors throughout his journey and together they must fight to save themselves and humanity. Jason Graves is a British Academy award-winning composer who has brought his passion for music to numerous video game franchises including the innovative, original soundtracks for Dead Space and Dead Space 2. Graves' music has become synonymous with unique, symphonic textures combined with modern aesthetics and he is renowned worldwide for his cinematic, immersive scoring.
