Marvel's The Avengers (Movie Review)

Marvel's The Avengers is a 2012 film from famous director Joss Whedon. Essentially, The Avengers is every nerd's best dream come true and with good reason. The film is easily the best movie of the summer so far, and we would dare to call is the best superhero movie of all-time, even surpassing 2008'sThe Dark KnightMarvel's The Avengers brings together an all-star cast to combine all of their superhero films from the past several years to create the entire cast of Avengers including Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk and Chris Hemsworth as Thor.

Of course, S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) will be along for the ride assisting our heroes in their epic struggle against the ruthless villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and his massive army. The film also introduces us to comic book fan favorite Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner. To call this film one of the biggest movies of Summer 2012 would be an understatement. Bringing together the entire cast of characters for an Avengers film has been Marvel's very plan for well over 5 years, but the film studio decided to release each individual hero's film rather than releasing The Avengers with the majority of the heroes having no back story. The finished product was one that surpassed expectations and was far superior to each individual film. Each character delivers an excellent performance that would even make comic creator Stan Lee envious, and the film's direction and special effects are equally mind-blowing. This film is for Marvel fans, but anyone will instantly fall in love with Marvel's The Avengers.
