Chef Douglas Rodriguez was named by Newsweek Magazine as" one of the 100 Americans that will influence the coming millennium" and was named by Zagat as "The Most Important Latin Chef". In addition OLA has received a 27 in the 2010 Zagat Guide for food. Being one of the highest rated restaurant on Miami Beach for dining. Chef Rodriguez has recently been nominated by the James Beard Foundation for the “ Best Chef of the South” and has won the “Rising Star Chef, NYC”.

Chef Rodriguez is the author of five cook books and has sister restaurants in Chicago, Philadelphia, Arizona and Miami Beach (D. Rodriguez and D. Rodriguez Ocean).
