Digital is taking over. You remember back when in order to see if a person was home--you had to actually go by their house? Or even when you use to have long conversations on those ancient telephones that had a cord and you had to stay in one spot during your call? Now everything is digital--I mean we have video stores closing down because everyone is streaming movies on their next-generation consoles now.
This also makes you think about how human interaction has changed as well. Instead of chatting and playing games face-to-face we instead do it online thousands of miles apart. Going to be late getting home or need someone to pick up something on their way? Well we just shoot a quick text message now on our smart phones without even having to hear their voice.
It almost appears that we are slowly wiping out human interaction all together. I mean we are now shopping and paying our bills online completely avoiding all human contact that was once required to go do it ourselves. If you are out then you see almost EVERYONE on their smartphones either texting or surfing the web. I have saw couples out on dates and instead of paying attention to one another--they are instead both on their smartphones. You just have to wonder what will happen to human interaction all together in say 20, 40 or 60 years. One day when everything is automated or controlled by a computer--it makes you think that we are actually de-evolving as a species. Maybe the Terminator films were a sign--a sign that Skynet is ultimately our future.
