Supernatural: Rite of Passage Coming in August from Titan Books

For the hardcore fans of the Supernatural television series, fan fiction based on their favorite show has become just as big a part of the series legacy as the television show itself. Publishing company Titan Books has been one of the biggest supporters for the series over the years with more than a dozen novels already released based on Supernatural, and a new title called Rite of Passage is own its way next month. The upcoming book provides the ultimate in fan fiction from a professional author who happens to be a huge fan of the show himself.

Supernatural: Rite of Passage will be the second tie-in novel for Supernatural from author John Passarella who has penned many tie-ins based on supernatural and paranormal television shows over the years including Titan Book's release of Supernatural: Night Terror last year. In addition to Supernatural, Passarella has also completed tie-ins for other television shows including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and his first novel Wither. The author is an active member of many special societies including the Horror Writers Association and The Authors Guild.

For Supernatural: Rite of Passage, Passarella used the events of the seventh season of the television show to tie-in his own storyline. The novel takes fans to Laurel Hill, New Jersey where a series of deaths, accident and outbreaks have made Sam and Dean Winchester question the town's recent bad luck streak. With Bobby Singer along for the ride, the three soon find that a powerful Japanese demon is at the center of the misfortunes, and they will have to solve the town's problems before the city is completely destroyed. Make sure to check out Supernatual: Rite of Passage when it releases on August 14, 2012.
