Gamescom 2012: Trion Worlds Gets Massive

Trion Worlds, the leading publisher and developer of premium online games, has announced a stellar line-up for this year's gamescom, which is open to the public in Cologne, Germany, between August 16 and 19. Trion’s showcase will include the consumer debut of Rift: Storm Legion, first look at End of Nations campaign gameplay, PvP combat in Defiance, and all new content for the Crytek developed free-to-play FPS, Warface.

As its launch approaches, award winning free-to-play online military strategy game End of Nations, will be playable on 24 PCs in Hall 8 of the Koelnmesse. Attendees can experience new PvP maps, and developers will be on hand to provide a fascinating insight into the project.

On the same stand in Hall 8, Rift will be hands-on for gamescom visitors with the newest updates to the award-winning MMORPG, including the upcoming expansion Storm Legion. Rift creators will lift the lid on the expansion’s development, highlighting some amazing new features like Dimensions, a massive colossus battle, and sneak peek at one of the expansion’s new dungeons.

Meanwhile, Defiance - a multi-platform massive online shooter at the center of a revolutionary single universe event that will see the first ever live crossovers between television and gaming - will be hands-on for gamescom visitors over the age of 18. Located inside a large dedicated booth in Hall 6, Defiance will be showcasing previously unseen PvP gameplay.

Fresh from announcing a Western World co-publishing deal, Trion and celebrated German developers Crytek will be bringing AAA free-to-play online shooter Warface, already a massive hit in Russia, to gamescom. Housed in a stunning Chinook helicopter themed arena, players over the age of 18 will get the chance to engage in frantic Warface PvE and PvP gunplay. Fans wishing to participate in this Fall’s Warface Beta testing can register at www.warface.com.
