The first of four behind the scenes videos has been released for Ubisoft's upcoming release of Assassin's Creed III to take a look at the creation of the game. The developers have brought in numerous experts from their respective fields to get better insight into what the war was like in order to recreate its atmosphere for the game, and Assassin's Creed III will also feature a refined battle system with help from experts in warfare and other fighting skills. With interviews from key developers from Ubisoft Montreal, Inside Assassin’s Creed III looks to give fans a sneak peek into the development of the game.
Set against the backdrop of the American Revolution in the late 18th century, Assassin’s Creed III introduces a new hero, Ratohnhaké:ton, of Native American and English heritage. Adopting the name Connor, he becomes the new voice for justice in the ancient war between the Assassins and Templars. Players become an Assassin in the war for liberty against ruthless tyranny in the most stylized and fluid combat experiences in the franchise to date. Assassin’s Creed III spans the Revolutionary War, taking gamers from the vibrant, untamed frontier to bustling colonial towns and the intense, chaotic battlefields where George Washington’s Continental Army clashed with the imposing British Army.
Assassin’s Creed III is now available for preorder from most major retailers for the MSRP of $59.99 and is scheduled to release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 30, 2012.
