New Partnership Revealed for SEGA and Samsung

New distribution partnership between SEGA and Samsung will allow gamers to pick up popular titles such as Sonic the Hedgehog 4 and Super Monkey Ball 2 on Game Hub.

SEGA and Samsung Electronics have announced the availability of SEGA games on Samsung Apps and its premium mobile game service, Game Hub. Sonic CD, Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode I and II, and Chu Chu Rocket! are available for purchase through Game Hub. Other SEGA titles such as Virtua Tennis Challenge and Super Monkey Ball 2: Sakura Edition will follow.

“Whether it’s collecting rings with Sonic or winning a close match in Virtua Tennis, our titles are known for great gameplay and rich visuals,” said Chris Olson, vice president of digital business at SEGA. “So we are very excited about bringing these experiences to a whole new audience through Samsung’s Game Hub.” Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode II will be available for free on the following devices for a limited time: GALAXY Note 10.1, GALAXY Tab 2 10.1, GALAXY Tab 2 7.0.

In Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode II, Sonic is joined by his old friend, Tails, as they battle against Dr. Eggman and Metal Sonic. Episode II features an all new engine, updated physics, and superb visuals. A special edition of Virtua Tennis Challenge will also be available free of charge for a limited time to owners of Samsung’s new GALAXY S III smartphone. This complete version of Virtua Tennis runs at an impressive 60 frames per second and takes full advantage of the unique features of the GALAXY S III including multiplayer functionality through Wi-Fi Direct and amazing graphics on its HD Super AMOLED screen.
