The Samaritan is new this week at Redbox, and the film stars Samuel L. Jackson as Foley–an ex-con who has just served a 20 year prison term and is looking to turn his life around and possibly begin a new life with a mysterious woman whom he just met. However, his past quickly catches up with him, and Foley finds himself reluctantly working with his former partner’s son. Did we mention Foley killed his former partner, and his son is looking for revenge on Foley and to land a huge payday with a hit on a corporate big shot? Needless to say, things go from bad to worse for Foley, as he’s blackmailed into a job he wants no part of and he soon finds himself fighting for his life. With a strong performance from a supporting cast and an always great showing from Samuel L. Jackson, The Samaritan is an action packed film most gamers will want to see this week.

This year’s Inception hits theater’s this weekend with Director Rian Johnson’s Looper. 2. Marvel’s The Avengers (Blu-Ray & DVD)
The most talked about release of this week is sure to Marvel’s The Avengers. The film released this summer and is most people’s favorite film of the year so far. After racking up some record breaking figures in the box office, Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Nick Fury and crew are ready for their Blu-Ray and DVD release. Watch as this dream team of Marvel heroes unite to save the world from a great evil that threatens to take over the planet. The only reason the film doesn’t land higher on the list is because most anyone who wanted to see the film already has, and number one is a particularly special treat for gamers this week.

1. Resident Evil: Damnation (Redbox)
Finally, Resident Evil: Damnation releases this week exclusively to Redbox. Acting as a sequel to the hit animated film Resident Evil: Degeneration, Resident Evil: Damnation brings back hero Leon S.
