Lost Head (Video Game Review)

The hit iOS title Lost Head has now made its way to PC distribution from publisher Alawar Entertainment. The quirky physics based puzzle title will have you saying, "Just one more level!" over and over as you attempt to complete Lost Head's 72 stages with the highest possible score and best times. Lost Head is a ton of fun and is comparable to Cut the Rope meets the board game Mouse Trap as you attempt to reunite the character with his lost head by rolling it through the numerous contraptions laid out in each stage. Lost Head is a perfect time killer and a great game whether you're playing on iPad, iPhone or the new release on PC.

In Lost Head, the objective of each stage is to reunite the game's protagonist, Franken-Stitch, with his missing head so it may be sewed back on and hopefully not lost again. As you progress through the game's 72 stages and 5 worlds, puzzles become more intricate as more interactive objects are added to stages such as ice that can be destroyed, sponges can be expanded and returned to normal size when needed and more. While your main objective is to get the head to the end of each stage safely, you'll want to do it as fast as possible to get the highest score and fastest time. There are also at least one collectible in many stages that need to be acquired in order to 100% the game, but many of these are difficult to collect and will require many playthroughs to acquire, but they definitely add great replay value to Lost Head.

Lost Head is one of those games you hesitate to put away, and its addictiveness is only overshadowed by the game's charm. Cute cartoon graphics and hilarious animations from Franken-Stitch himself are enough to leave you in stitches as well. You can even view your collectibles from the main menu to see what you've collected so far, and achievements can be unlocked and viewed from the main menu to let you know what goal to shoot for next. Lost Head is a great game that gives players no reason to dislike it, and with a low price tag and an availability across a wide range of platforms, this is a title both casual and hardcore gamers should immediately add to their gaming collection. Find Lost Head in the App Store or on the Alawar website today!

Lost Head is now available and can be purchased for $1.99 on PC, iPad and iPhone. For more information on Lost Head, check out the official Alawar Entertainment website.

Buffet Bliss or Southern Swing-and-a-Miss? A Bite at Kacey’s in Huntsville

Walk through the doors of Kacey’s Country Cooking in Huntsville and you’re greeted by the comforting smell of fried chicken, collard greens, and cornbread that could double as perfume for any true Southerner. This is where the buffet line reigns supreme, the sweet tea flows endlessly, and dessert is always just an arm’s reach away. For many locals, Kacey’s is a comfort food paradise. Fans brag about the fried green tomatoes, juicy pork chops, slow-cooked beef tips, and banana pudding that deserves its own holiday. The staff are another highlight—quick with refills, friendly enough to feel like family, and the kind of people who can make a buffet feel like Sunday dinner at grandma’s. But Kacey’s has its critics too. Some diners rave about “the best bang for your buck in town,” while others complain that the food sometimes veers into “straight-from-the-can” territory. Like most buffets, it’s a roll of the dice: hit the line on a good day and you’ll be full and happy; catch it on an...

Step Back in Time at Ole Towne Café in Ardmore

If you’ve ever wished you could step into your grandma’s kitchen and smell fresh biscuits baking while bacon sizzles in the skillet, Ole Towne Café in Ardmore, Alabama, is the next best thing. Tucked along Main Street, this little diner doesn’t just serve food—it serves nostalgia. Walking in, you’re greeted with that small-town charm you just can’t fake. The walls are lined with country décor, the coffee flows like a friendly neighbor’s gossip, and everyone seems to know everyone else. Even if you’re new in town, you’ll feel like family after your first cup of coffee. The menu is straight out of a Southern comfort cookbook. The catfish plates are fried to crispy perfection, the hamburger steaks come smothered in gravy that tastes like Sunday supper, and the breakfast plates are legendary—big fluffy pancakes, biscuits as big as your hand, and hash browns that come golden and crispy. And let’s not forget dessert. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, save room for the pies. Ole Towne Café d...
