The Biggest Xbox 360 Releases for September

Now that Summer is almost over, video game developers are sending out the heavy hitters just in time for the upcoming holiday season. August has already seen the release of many great titles such as Sleeping Dogs, Darksiders II, Madden NFL 13 and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, and September is shaping up to be just as great or better with tons of great games expected to hit the Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE Marketplace during the coming weeks. Luckily, we've got the best of the best right here to ensure you don't overlook a great release, so let's get to it!

5. NBA Baller Beats
NBA Baller Beats is one of the most unique titles ever released in the history of the gaming industry. The upcoming title dares to combine two genres that seemingly have nothing in common--sports and music and rhythm. NBA Baller Beats uses a real basketball and Kinect to instruct you to dribble along with the beats playing in the game and perform the proper actions such as passes when necessary. The game comes with a fantastic soundtrack right out of the box, and for the first time in the history of gaming, an official NBA basketball to use to play the game or to school your friends at the park. NBA Baller Beats is a game well worth checking out in September and a great title that will help make you better at the sport as well.

4. Angry Birds Trilogy
Game developer Rovio will finally be bringing their hit series Angry Birds to consoles with the Angry Birds Trilogy for Xbox 360. The new collection will include the highly popular titles Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio. Everyone knows Angry Birds is one of the most addicting video game series ever released, and the series is even better on Xbox 360 with plenty of great new features including online leaderboards and achievements to make the games that much better. Make sure to catch Angry Birds fever when this collection releases later this month!

3. Tekken Tag Tournament 2
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is quite possibly the most highly anticipated fighting game of the year and with good reason. The original Tekken Tag Tournament helped introduce tag based fighting to the fighting game genre that has since become a necessity in any respected fighting game. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will look to build on the success of its predecessor with many new features including fight lab where characters can be fully customized even down to their move sets, plenty of exciting game modes including online tag matches for up to four players, a massive roster of fighters with even more to be unlocked through preorders and a deep fighting system that is sure to be the biggest reason this title shows up in tournaments around the world for years to come. If you purchase one fighting game this year, make sure you get Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for Xbox 360.

2. FIFA Soccer 13
FIFA Soccer 13 is one of those titles that will fly under the radar and still produce fantastic sales numbers. The game series is one of the best sellers of any genre on any system from year to year, and the new version of the game looks to be the best in recent years. The new game will introduce many great new features and improvements to the series including a more realistic control of the ball that will help improve realism and allow defenders to make more plays on the ball than ever before, total control dribbling to allow you to attack with the ball like never before, the all new FIFA Ultimate Team that allows you to buy, sell and trade players cards that will be used to build the best in-game team possible and so much more. The game needs to be checked out by sports fans worldwide when it releases later this month.

1. Borderlands 2
Borderlands 2 is a no-brainer pick for the biggest release for September on Xbox 360. This first-person shooter series has helped change the landscape of the shooter genre with its creative approach to combat, a ridiculous amount of loot and how a shooter title can play in general. Borderlands 2 will continue to improve on the original in numerous ways including introducing us to five new characters once the Mechromancer is released as post launch DLC making this a title that every Xbox 360 owner needs to play once it is released in a couple of short weeks.
