Unity of Command Invades Steam

2x2 games has just released their large scale tactical strategy game, Unity of Command onto Steam at a discounted price of $14.99 to celebrate the successful release.

Unity of Command is a turn based strategy game centering on the Nazi invasion of Stalingrad in 1942-43. Players can see the war unfold from either the German or Russian point of view. The game is a refreshing mix of historical accuracy while still maintaining the fun factor that many games of this genre neglect in favor of realism.

Along with the launch 2x2 also announced the first DLC titled, “Red Turn,” should be available before the end of the year. The DLC will focus on the Russian counterattack towards Berlin taking place over 17 scenarios in addition, there will be two German scenarios as well as four focused on multiplayer. This sets the stage for a DLC that includes more content than the base game is shipped with.

Stay tuned for any further news from the front! I mean, news of future DLC for this indie title. For the Motherland!

The staff are another highlight—quick with refills, friendly enough to feel like family, and the kind of people who can make a buffet feel like Sunday dinner at grandma’s. But Kacey’s has its critics too. Some diners rave about “the best bang for your buck in town,” while others complain that the food sometimes veers into “straight-from-the-can” territory. Like most buffets, it’s a roll of the dice: hit the line on a good day and you’ll be full and happy; catch it on an...
