5 Game Characters That Could Be President

With National Voting Day now in the books, we sit back and relax and think of what we’ve learned from the whole event. Whether you voted Democrat or Republican, we are now united under a singular President who will lead our country into the future for the next four years. Still, we can’t help but wonder if we voted the right man for the job, and that’s we’ve came up with a list of some great video game characters that exhibit the qualities we would want in the next President of the United States. Read on and enjoy our list of 5 Game Characters The Could Be President!

5. Commander Shepard (Mass Effect)
Commander Shepard is easily one of the most logical choices to be the first video game President. A decorated war veteran who has helped lead missions that saved the entire galaxy numerous times, Commander Shepard is an ideal candidate that exhibits all the qualities a person could want in a President. He’s a great leader, has a way with words and can use his skills of diplomacy to solve issues between feuding alien groups with grace. Obviously, Commander Shepard could actually become the first woman President as well, depending on your perspective!

4. Leon S. Kennedy (Resident Evil)
Leon is a great choice to become the next President, because he looks the part and has always shown great poise even in the most dire of circumstances. Leon quickly worked his way up the ranks from a police recruit to a talented member of the S.T.A.R.S. organization, and now, Leon has saved the world once again in Resident Evil 6 as one of the best government agents around. For what Leon lacks in articulacy, diplomacy and an overall knowledge of politics, he more than makes up for in survivability, adaptability and an ability to seemingly always make the right choices. Plus, Leon sort of shot the President in the face, so he kind of owes us a new one!

3. GLaDOS (Portal)
GLaDOS is one of the most beloved video game characters of all-time. With her countless years of testing knowledge and witty sense of humor, GLaDOS could easily negotiate with the best of them, and since GLaDOS isn’t human, she won’t allow emotions to sway her opinion when making the tough choices for her nation. Having spent the majority of her time attached to a potato in Portal 2 only makes her more suitable for the Presidency when you consider she’s had an assortment of riches in her life from being the top dog at Aperture Science facilities to being the lowest of the lower class living inside a spud home.

2. Kevin Butler (LittleBigPlanet Karting)
Kevin Butler may not be an actual gaming character, but as the face of the PlayStation brand in North America, he definitely has some nice credentials, and you know the guy could come up with some great speeches. Kevin Butler would look and fit the part perfectly, and he already has his own Presidential controversy stemming from his time working in a Bridgestone commercial while promoting Nintendo’s Wii, but to us, this just shows he has the skills to succeed in foreign diplomacy.

1. Nathan Drake (Uncharted)
Nathan Drake would make the perfect video game President. Not only does he look the part and know how to talk his way out of most any situation, but he has single handedly made every other Xbox 360, PC or Nintendo fan boy jealous with the release of each new Uncharted game on PlayStation 3. If America does one thing right, it’s making the best place in the world to live, and Nathan Drake presents the image that would make all other countries envious of our new leader. Of course, Nathan has served his time, risking his life through dangerous situations as well, so the pressure will never really get to him. His everyman attitude will keep him humble throughout the Presidency and his sense of adventure will keep our country moving forward with plenty of daring moves and great decisions for the next four years. Vote Drake 2016!
