Counterstrike: Global Offensive Free-to-play This Weekend

Fans of the FPS genre of games have to be familiar with Counterstrike. In fact, it's arguably impossible to call yourself an FPS fan with no experience with the franchise. But fan or no, all FPS PC gamers should be psyched Steam's promotion featuring a free weekend of Counterstrike: Global Offensive. The free-to-play format begins now and ends Sunday at 1pm (pacific time), so there's plenty of time to experience the latest release.


What if you've already played it? Then find new and likely, unexperienced easy-to-kill gamers to taunt this weekend!


What if you hate it? Uninstall it and console yourself that although you may have wasted you time, your wallet remains intact!


What if you love it and don't want to stop playing it on Sunday? Then, gamer, you're in luck. Steam's also cut the price of the full game from $14.99 to $9.99 until November 5th. All in all, this is a great deal for FPS veterans, people looking to branch out into other gaming genres, or people (mainly on the East Coast) who are stuck inside all weekend.
