Playstation 3 Certified Safe for China

Over the weekend, Sony obtained regulatory approval via China Compulsory Certificate which is the program that outlines safety demands to be sold in the country. After completing the process Sony was granted a passing grade through 2016.

Despite the fact that consoles have been for the large part disallowed for the last decade black markets have been meeting the demands of consumers looking for a more traditional console experience.

It's worth keeping in mind, this is not the go ahead for Sony to begin sales of their console in China only a step in what is sure to be quite the lengthy process.
