Call of Duty: Black Ops II Earns $1 Billion in only 15 Days

Developer Treyarch and publisher Activision is reporting that their hit game Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has earned an astounding $1 billion during its first 15 days of being released worldwide. The report comes only two weeks after the game made a reported $500 million during its first 24 hours of release. The companies are reporting that last year's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 reached this milestone after 16 days and that the 2009 film Avatar reached the total in 17 days, meaning Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is the fastest grossing entertainment release ever, and the series is more popular than ever before. The Call of Duty franchise has been one of the highest grossing products for each of the last 6 years, and this juggernaut doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon. The new release features an all new single player campaign, the return of the most popular multiplayer experience on any platform with new features and an all new Zombies mode.
