Developer and publisher Sqaure Enix has released a new trailer for their upcoming sequel, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. The game is said to be the end of the Lightning saga and will be the last of the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy. Lightning returns in the game as the lead protagonist to a world facing armageddon only 13 days from the start of the game, but the hero will do everything in her power to prevent that from happening. Set after the events of Final Fantasy XII-2, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will return familiar battle systems, music and design with modifications to keep the action fresh. In the new trailer below, Lightning can be seen battling with monsters is solo combat, and players will get an idea of what to expect from the game's storyline as well. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is now available for preorder from participating retailers for the MSRP of $69.99 and can be purchased for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
