The Walking Dead Receives Game of the Year Honors Before Lurking Into Stores Today

Developer and publisher Telltale Games recently received Game of the Year honors from the 2012 Video Game Awards for their new game The Walking Dead, and today, the company announced the release of their highly popular downloadable title on disc at retailers nationwide. The retail edition of The Walking Dead can be purchased for $29.99 and includes all five episodes of the dramatic and action-packed first season of the video game series from Telltale. The story of the game series follows Lee Everett and a young girl named Clementine as they do their best to survive a zombie infested Georgia near where the comics and television shows originated. The Walking Dead also helped Telltale Games win Studio of the Year and Best Female Performance for Melissa Hutchinson as Clementine. Other awards The Walking Dead has received this year includes Game of the Year from Cheat Code Central and Game of the Year nominations from IGN.com. Jackson County Fair in Scottsboro, Alabama (Event Review)

The Jackson County Fair has invaded Scottsboro, Alabama for the week of October 7-11, 2014, but the event may be a waste of money for some.  The fair was the 79th annual showing and was presented by Kissel Entertainment. The event featured rides, exhibits, games and great (yet too expensive) food for attendees at the show. Families could have enjoyed a great time at the fair grounds, but the event wasn't cheap and it didn't feature some of the more prominent attractions like one would find at larger, state fairs and carnivals. The turn out very low in Scottsboro though, and many would think that this would make it easier to enjoy the event but not even small lines could help make the Jackson County event fun.
