Steam Greenlight Is A Go For Akaneiro: Demon Hunters

Akaneiro: Demon Hunters has officially received the Greenlight from Steam. Gamers can prepare to wreck chaos on their PC very soon. The video game is currently in open beta and players are being motivated to stream/record/preview their experiences. Read on to learn more!

Shanghai. Spicy Horse Games, makers of "Alice: Madness Returns," "BigHead BASH," and "American McGee's Grimm" announced today that "Akaneiro: Demon Hunters" had been selected in the latest round of Steam Greenlight for inclusion on Steam.

Based on the Little Red Riding Hood story combined with Japanese folklore and myth, and illustrated in Spicy Horse's unique dark fantasy style, "Akaneiro: Demon Hunters" is an action-RPG that lets players hunt legendary monsters in Edo-era Japan. The Steam version of the game will include Mac and PC versions and, if the now-running Kickstarter hits its stretch goals, a Linux version will also be available.

In celebration of the game's arrival on Steam, the Spicy Horse team has added a spirit pet known as Karakuri Gaben, inspired by the legendary head of Valve Software, to its Kickstarter rewards. Players eager to have their own Karakuri Gaben need only pledge in the $30 or more reward tier and, should the Kickstarter be successful, they will be granted the pet as well as all previous reward tiers.

"Akaneiro: Demon Hunters" is currently in Open Beta, with an anticipated launch this month on Steam and for the web. Players looking to join the hunt need only visit the official site at http://www.angry-red.com and sign up.
