Activision Reveals Preorder Incentives and First Gameplay Trailer for The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct

The release of developer Terminal Reality and publisher Activision's The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is coming up on March 26, 2013, and the team behind the game have just revealed new details on the game including preorder incentives and the first gameplay trailer. In The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct players will assume the role of the beloved character Daryl Dixon, as he and his brother Merle attempt to make their way across the Georgia countryside to the presumed safety of Atlanta. The upcoming release will get back to the roots of the survival horror genre as players desperately attempt to sneak past zombie hordes and conserve ammunition and supplies all while meeting up with fellow survivors who may offer help or be more dangerous than the undead.

Preording the game from GameStop will unlock the exclusive Herd Mode where you will fight off as many waves of zombies as possible before being completely overrun, while reserving the game at Amazon will unlock the Walker Execution Pack complete with a survival knife, saw-toothed machete, kukri, reinforced hatchet and advanced machete all of which are perfect for landing silent kills on the undead. The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is now available for preorder from most major retailers for the MSRP of $59.99 and is scheduled to release for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii U on March 26, 2013.
