Call of Cookie Now Available At The AppStore and Google Play

Now is the time to get your hands on the new strategy game Call of Cookie available for free for iOS and Android devices. Players will use their baking skills to build an army of cookie-soldiers and fight others in battle! Read on to learn more and to watch the amazing trailer!

Ankama announces Call of Cookie, a strategy game that comes from the successful comic book Freak’s Squeele, available for free in the AppStore and Google Play. Available on iPhone, iPad, and on most smartphones and Android tablets, the game is scheduled to be released during the first semester 2013.

Call of Cookie is the first mobile game for smartphones and tablets that offers an incredible and unique mix of war and baking. The concept is simple: use dozens of ingredients to bake an army of cookie-soldiers and fight against other players during turn-based tactical battles, full of quirky humour. Players will have to choose their troops wisely among the fifteen units available and strategically place them before each battle to resist the enemy cookies as best as possible and get a chance to obtain victory!

This original idea from Florent Maudoux – author of the comic book Freak’s Squeele (more than 100 000 copies sold in France) – and Chanh Ly – independent producer – is inspired by The Gingerbread Men’s War episode in the second volume of the comic book. The quirky universe of the Freak’s Squeele superhero school presented in this game is like no other.

The development of this crazy idea was assigned to DeValley, a studio from Paris specialized in the development of mobile games. This is the first Ankama game developed externally (Ankama playing the role of the publisher) and will be available in both the AppStore and Google Play. The whole game was supervised by Florent Maudoux himself, in collaboration with Ankama.

Plot
“Xiong Mao, Shadow and Fortune let the secret recipe for cookie-soldiers slip out. Now, every single student of the F.A.S.H (Faculty of Academic Studies of Heroes) wants their own personal army. This fad is spreading to all the other hero universities, and soon we’ll see tournaments being organized around these cookie-soldiers, better known as “Freakies”. Grocery stores are running out of stock; flour, eggs, and even butter have disappeared from the shelves. Suppliers of household appliances are literally being invaded, and getting your hands on a simple toaster oven is mission impossible. Which of all these aspiring heroes will build the most powerful team?”
