Independent developer Tru Fun Entertainment has announced the release of their newest game, Rad Raygun, exclusively for Xbox LIVE Indie Games. The new release actually comes from the two man team of Software Engineer Chris Bryant and Art Director Chris Hernandez over a two year period. The game encompasses plenty of references to 80s gaming and popular culture that can be seen as soon as you set eyes on the cover of the game that is fondly reminiscent of a discount Gameboy game. Rad Raygun is set in the year 198X and stars the only character powerful enough to stop the sadistic Soviet Union and their communist robots. Fans of classic platformers like Mega Man will feel right at home with this release, and the game can be purchased today for only 80 Microsoft Points. Check out the release trailer for the game below and go pick up a copy of Rad Raygun today for only a buck.
