Check Out Two Fans Dedication to Their Favorite Game with Custom Tomb Raider Guitar

What in the world does Tomb Raider have to do with music and guitars? Not a lot on the surface, but two dedicated fans are brining the two worlds together like never before with a custom created Tomb Raider guitar. Marcin Pospiech is a lead designer over at Square Enix, the publisher of Tomb Raider, and as one of the members on this new project has confirmed that there is no such item in the game, but that there needs to be one in real life. Artur Walczak is the second member of the duo and a guitar fan and creator. Artur has found working together with a non-musician difficult at times but cannot wait to put the finishing touches on the custom creation and plug it in and play it for the first time. It's important to note the project is not officially supported by developer Crystal Dynamics, the guitar will never be sold and there can only be one ever created, but we still think it's pretty cool and can't wait to see it for ourselves. Read on for more details!

“Directly, the guitar has nothing in common with the game, I mean there is no such item in it. I spent over a year working on the game and I know it quite well. Artur builds guitars, it is his hobby. We decided to put our passions and knowledge and we got to work” – says Marcin.

“It is a completely new experience working on a guitar project with someone who is not a musician. On the one hand it is kind of difficult to discuss stuff like bridges, pickups and other equipment. Marcin is learning fast but I am not sure he gets it all. On the other hand I have a freedom to choose what I want which is impossible with musicians. I liked the design from the very beginning. It took me a sec to take the decision and get involved. We are pretty close to put all the bits and pieces together and, what I am looking forward to, plug it in and test it. Then comes painting” – says Artur.
