Developer and publisher EA Sports has announced Barry Sanders as winner of the Madden NFL 25 cover vote after defeating Adrian Peterson in a head-to-head matchup with 58% of total votes cast in the final round of the tournament. The runningback that many fans consider the best to ever play in the NFL will be the face for Madden NFL 25 and its all new theme of Run Free. The new motto is on full display in the reveal trailer for the game that can be seen below, and EA Sports is promising plenty of new features will be coming to the franchise this year including the ability to have more control over players on the run than ever before. In addition, EA Sports has announced the Infinity Engine 2 with improved run cutting ability, player-controlled stumble recovery, improved run-blocking and more as well as an improved Connected Careers mode, new Madden Share with new content for Madden NFL 25, an improved Madden Ultimate Team mode and more, and EA Sports will be covering each of the new features included in Madden NFL 25 is a series of Playbook trailers once again this Summer.
