Game developer Naughty Dog and Dark Horse Comics have announced the early release of The Last of Us: American Dreams, as it hit stores nationwide today, two weeks earlier than previously announced. Fans can pick up the exciting first issue today as the first part in the prequel to the upcoming game The Last of Us that follows the game's protagonist Ellie in a post apocalyptic world entering a new military boarding school for the first time. Violence and hatred infects the world, and Ellie is reluctant to fall in line and do as she's told, but she soon learns there will be severe consequences for her actions. The Last of Us: American Dreams will tell its story across four thrilling issues from comic star Faith Erin Hicks and Naughty Dog Creative Director Neil Druckmann. The Last of Us is now available for preorder from most major retailers for the MSRP of $59.99 and is scheduled to release exclusively for PlayStation 3 on June 14, 2013. The Last of Us is not yet rated. For more information on the game, check out the official The Last of Us website.
