Developer The Farm 51 and publisher Nordic Games have announced the release date for their ambitious new title Deadfall Adventures. The new game will arrive for Xbox 360 and PC beginning September 27, 2013 and will feature Standard and Collector's Edition versions of the game. The Farm 51 is well known for developing some of the most unique titles in the gaming industry, and the company has been hard at work getting the game prepped for release this Summer. Though the game has been pushed back from its initial release date, fans can still expect it to feature an exciting single player campaign as well as multiplayer battle arena matches. The game will combine elements of the first-person shooter, puzzle, open world exploration and platforming genres to create a gaming experience like few others.
The Farm 51 and Nordic Games also revealed new gameplay taken straight from the game at E3, some of which can be seen in the trailer below from GameSpot. The trailer shows off the impressive world built on the Unreal Engine 3, as adventurers Quatermain and Agent Goodwin team up to battle against Nazis and Russian forces to recover the Heart of Atlantis all while avoiding dangerous boobie traps and other hazards deep within the temple walls. “This is our most ambitious game to date and we’re working very closely alongside The Farm 51 to make sure that Deadfall Adventures provides players with seamless action and puzzle-solving experience,” said Reinhard Pollice at Nordic Games. “Holding back the game’s release until September is the right decision for us to ensure that the content included offers the greatest value for players, which it certainly will.”
“Adding the new survival cooperation mode adds even more content to the game which is always going to be a bonus for players,” said Wojciech Pazdur Development Director at Farm 51. “The new mode will be both challenging and engaging and players will be able to jump straight into the game toget the best of the action.”
Deadfall Adventures is now available for preorder from participating retailers for the MSRP of $39.99 and is scheduled to arrive for Xbox 360 and PC on September 27, 2013. Deadfall Adventures is not yet rated. For more information on the game, check out the official Deadfall Adventures website.
