Emotional Trailer Gives Little Hope for the Survivors of Metro: Last Light
Metro: Last Light exceeded most gamers' expectations when it released last month and was met with a great response from critics and the rest of the gaming community. Metro: Last Light is the follow up release to the hit title Metro 2033 and follows the story of post-apocalyptic survivors in the underground tunnels of Moscow. Developer 4A Games and publisher Deep Silver recently announced the title greatly surpassed projected sales records during its first weeks after release making it easily the most popular game the series has seen to date, and now the team has released an emotional new trailer for the game known as the Mobius trailer.
The Mobius trailer features many characters and mutants inspired by the highly popular game and stresses the fear and panic that sets in during a mutant attack for one group of underground dwellers. Each character in the trailer expresses different emotions from the beginning scene of a soldier closing the gates on a young boy, to a husband desperately grasping at the mutants in a futile attempt to keep them from reaching his wife and young child, and the brave soldiers that fight back against the relentless hordes. The trailer is simply designed with a panning camera that flies around the battlefield to show each of the characters in the still capture scene, but evokes strong reactions from the audience watching the trailer. You can see the Mobius trailer created by Lead Technical Artist for Metro: Last Light, Alexander Bereznyak, below to learn more.
Metro: Last Light is now available from all major retailers for the MSRP of $59.99 and can be purchased for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Metro: Last Light is rated M by the ESRB for Blood, Intense Violence, Nudity, Sexual Content, Strong Language & Use of Drugs and Alcohol.
