Empire State Making Its Way To DVD, Blu-ray and Digital Download

Empire State which is based on a true story will be arriving for DVD, Blu-ray, and digital download on September 3rd. The film stars Liam Hemsworth, Emma Roberts, Dwayne Johnson and Nikki Reed. Based on the true story of one of the largest cash heists in U.S. history, Empire State arrives on Blu-ray Disc (plus Digital UltraViolet), DVD (plus Digital UltraViolet) and Digital Download on September 3 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment. Empire State will also premiere on Video on Demand on August 30, three days prior to its Blu-ray and DVD release. Starring Liam Hemsworth (The Hunger Games franchise), Emma Roberts (Scream 4), Dwayne Johnson (Fast & Furious 6) and Nikki Reed (The Twilight Saga franchise), the suspenseful film will keep viewers on the edge of their seats!

After failing to get into the police academy, Chris Potamitis settles for a security guard job with the EMPIRE STATE Armored Truck Company. Chris makes the mistake of mentioning the company's lax security to his best friend, Eddie, and is soon unwittingly drawn into an elaborate scheme to rob the abundant amounts of cash being stored there - resulting in the largest cash heist in U.S. history. As the stakes continue to rise, Chris and Eddie must outwit James Ransone, the veteran NYPD Detective that is hot on their trail, as well as the local crime bosses that want to know who pulled a job on their turf, or suffer the consequences.
