From the Press Release

Amplitude Studios is excited to announce that its first expansion pack ‘Disharmony’ for the popular 4X space-strategy hit Endless Space is available on Steam today. Disharmony follows the release of four free add-ons that have extended gameplay since the game’s original inception in summer 2012.

“I’m very excited to get this into the players’ hands,” says Romain de Waubert, Creative Director. “We’ve put a lot of effort into addressing the parts of the game and gameplay that either we or the community thought could be improved. We’ve come a long way already with the four free add-ons, and the expansion pack is the icing on the Endless cake."

As previously promised, Amplitude will reward its loyal players the ‘Sheredyn Faction,’ ‘Endless Hero,’ and ‘Automaton ship models.’ These free items will unlock to all players upon the release of the Disharmony expansion pack.

Endless Space: Disharmony can be purchased as DLC on Steam for $9.99 with the English retail version (key-only box with 16-page art book) on June 28 from publisher Iceberg Interactive.

More Information On The Endless Space: Disharmony Expansion Pack:

  • The Harmony had been moving since the birth of the universe, passing through the galaxies, seeking The Core. Their migration was deliberate, calm, and inevitable.
  • Dust was their downfall. In the galaxy of the Endless they were ensnared; this strange technological creation that affected particles, fields, and waves broke the single movement of the Harmony into a cacophony of individual elements. In this galaxy, the Harmony have fallen from grace and turned into gravity-enchained individuals.
  • The Harmony saw Dust, then, as a menace or a plague, and set out to rid the universe of its effects. But for the Harmony, creatures of mineral, there is no difference between an "inhabited" or "uninhabited" planet -- they are only "infected" or "clean."
  • To the rest of the galaxy the arrival of the Harmony was a minor apocalypse. They attacked in small ships, targeting Dust-infected infrastructures and populations. Other peoples responded in kind, creating Fighter and Bomber craft to counter the Harmony's unusual tactics, bringing the war to their enemy. Planetary bombardment and invasion will take frightening new turns; new heroes will rise up to counter the threats. The Era of Disharmony is coming!

Features
  • A brand new Faction called “the Harmony” with a single objective in mind, annihilate Dust!
  • New fighter and bomber units that will completely change the shape of combats, especially with the new Battle Formation and Targeting systems.
  • A complete rework of the Ship Design Interface giving an improved Weapon System that includes family types for modules (short, medium and long range).
  • New Invasion mechanics have been added: prepare your population for bombardments, sieges and land invasions!
  • Expect to face a real challenge when playing against AI opponents with the New Adaptive Multi-Agent Artificial Intelligence System (AMAS)

Other additions and features voted or requested by the community include:
Four new Heroes [Games2Gether]
A new option to Disable Exchange of Technologies, as a request from the Multiplayer community!

Buffet Bliss or Southern Swing-and-a-Miss? A Bite at Kacey’s in Huntsville

Walk through the doors of Kacey’s Country Cooking in Huntsville and you’re greeted by the comforting smell of fried chicken, collard greens, and cornbread that could double as perfume for any true Southerner. This is where the buffet line reigns supreme, the sweet tea flows endlessly, and dessert is always just an arm’s reach away. For many locals, Kacey’s is a comfort food paradise. Fans brag about the fried green tomatoes, juicy pork chops, slow-cooked beef tips, and banana pudding that deserves its own holiday. The staff are another highlight—quick with refills, friendly enough to feel like family, and the kind of people who can make a buffet feel like Sunday dinner at grandma’s. But Kacey’s has its critics too. Some diners rave about “the best bang for your buck in town,” while others complain that the food sometimes veers into “straight-from-the-can” territory. Like most buffets, it’s a roll of the dice: hit the line on a good day and you’ll be full and happy; catch it on an...
