Focus Home Interactive Announces Platformer 'Contrast' for XBLA, PSN and PC

Focus Home Interactive has revealed new content for Contrast. Contrast is set to arrive for PC, PSN and XBLA later this year. Contrast was honored at this year's E3 and won several "Best Indie" awards from the Electronic Expo conference. In the game, players take on the role of Dawn who is an imaginary friend inside the imagination of Didi. The imaginative new game will have players embarking on a charming adventure that will remind them of all the things they loved as a child. Read on to learn more.

CONTRAST, the platform/puzzler developed by Compulsion Games for PC, the PlayStation Store and Xbox LIVE Arcade, was anything but 'hiding in the shadows' as the game was honored with numerous accolades, awards and nominations, including several BEST INDIE of E3 wins. Featured in both SCEA and Focus Home Interactive's booths at E3 2013, hundreds of journalists and other industry professionals from around the world experienced an updated hands-on demo of CONTRAST, discovering the vaudevillian, film noir-inspired world infused by light and shadow play mechanics. Players took on the role of Dawn, an imaginary friend, in the oneiric universe fueled by Didi's imagination. Didi, an adventurous nine year old is hopeful of reuniting her parents as she uncovers truths and drama in this charming adventure. With stunning visuals complemented with an original jazz-based soundtrack featuring the rich, spell-binding voice of Laura Ellis.

Expect new information, images and videos of CONTRAST to come out of the shadows, leading up to the launch on PC, PlayStation Store and Xbox LIVE Arcade, this year!

Jackson County Fair in Scottsboro, Alabama (Event Review)

The Jackson County Fair has invaded Scottsboro, Alabama for the week of October 7-11, 2014, but the event may be a waste of money for some.  The fair was the 79th annual showing and was presented by Kissel Entertainment. The event featured rides, exhibits, games and great (yet too expensive) food for attendees at the show. Families could have enjoyed a great time at the fair grounds, but the event wasn't cheap and it didn't feature some of the more prominent attractions like one would find at larger, state fairs and carnivals. The turn out very low in Scottsboro though, and many would think that this would make it easier to enjoy the event but not even small lines could help make the Jackson County event fun. The Jackson County Fair had over a dozen rides for all age groups.
