Listen To The Brandenburg State Orchestra Perform 'The Voyage' For Europa Universalis IV

The Brandenburg State Orchestra is helping fans get ready for Paradox Interactive and Paradox Development Studio's Europa Universalis IV by performing a beautiful performance of “The Voyage” which is the main theme for the upcoming empire-building game. Read on to learn more.

Composed by Paradox’s own Andreas Waldetoft, “The Voyage” evokes the winds and ambitions that guided those explorers and traders who opened the world to Europe and joined the hemispheres. Soft strings and woodwinds slowly give way to triumphant brass and percussion – a fine omen of the conquests that await you in Europa Universalis IV.

“The Voyage” is performed by the Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester at the Carl Philipp Emanuel bach Konzerthalle, and is orchestrated by Grammy nominated conductor Bernd Ruf. This particular performance of “The Voyage” and the in-game version are one and the same.

“The Voyage” is available as a free download for a limited time, allowing you to take the fervor of global domination with you on your own daily expeditions (or just a commute). Download aspiration, in MP3 form, here.

Europa Universalis IV is available for pre-order, with new bonuses being announced each month. For details, please visit here.

Europa Universalis IV is the latest instalment of Paradox’s flagship historical strategy series, coming to PC, Mac, and Linux on August 13, 2013. Europa Universalis IV gives you control of a nation to guide it through the years and create a dominant global empire in the age of exploration.
