Nintendo World Store Becoming Town from Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Nintendo is always doing fun things to celebrate the release of their titles, and the release of Animal Crossing: New Leaf will be no different.  On June 8th, fans can travel to the New York store from 9AM to 1PM EST to enjoy tons of fun activities at Nintendo World. The store will transform into something from the game and fans will feel like they are inside Animal Crossing: New Leaf. There will be a live DJ, carnival-style games, bug catching, fossil digging and even fishing. Players will be able to pick up Animal Crossing: New Leaf on June 9th for Nintendo 3DS.

Nintendo World is getting a temporary makeover to celebrate the highly anticipated release of Animal Crossing: New Leaf for the portable Nintendo 3DS system. The store will be transformed into the personalized, charming town featured in the upcoming hand-held game. Consumers can collect a series of Animal Crossing-themed buttons for completing a variety of fun activities inspired by the game such as bug catching, fossil digging and fishing. For those who want to get their groove on, the second floor of the store will feature a DJ spinning music. To ensure that everyone has fond memories of the day, there will also be plenty of photo opportunities throughout the store featuring cutouts of some of the game’s most recognizable characters.

As a special treat for fans, the Animal Crossing: New Leaf game as well as the special-edition Nintendo 3DS XL Animal Crossing: New Leaf hardware bundle will be available in limited quantities to purchase at the event, one day ahead of the game’s national launch date of June 9. The first 100 guests to purchase either the game or the bundle will receive an Animal Crossing: New Leaf-themed Nintendo 3DS skin.
