Wolverine Invades Deadpool's Video Game

Developer High Moon Studios and publisher Activision is taking a different approach with the marketing for the upcoming Deadpool video game. Rather than releasing tons of new gameplay trailers getting fans excited for the great new mechanics, high quality graphics or other special content the game may contain, the team is content with letting the merc with the mouth do most of the talking for himself and release plenty of humorous trailers featuring the superhero. Only time will tell how the unique marketing strategy will work for the game, but until then, Activision has released yet another video featuring the star of the game talking with his lawyer about his recent actions in the real world. You can see the trailer below for some laughs and to learn more about this colorful character.

In addition, the team has announced that everyone's favorite adamantium claw wielding mutant, Wolverine will be featured in the Deadpool video game. Deadpool isn't too happy to learn about Wolverine's addition to the game and is quoted as saying, "Who approved this?! What is with everyone loving Wolverine when I am cooler in every possible way? Who has the cooler costume color palette? Deadpool. Who can fight in melee AND at range? Deadpool! Who forgets his past through repression, like a NORMAL PERSON, rather than dumb amnesia? DEADPOOL!" Deadpool went on to say that he was contractually obligated to say at least one nice thing about the game's newest character, and he responded by stating the following, "Dear Wolverine: I guess, when put aside the grand history of human conflict and suffering, the lame tank tops you insist on wearing sometimes aren't THAT bad, bub." You can check out the info card below to learn more about this brand new addition to the Deadpool roster and look for more content for the game coming out of E3 later this month.

Deadpool is now available for preorder from most major retailers for the MSRP of $49.99 and is scheduled to release for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on June 25, 2013. Deadpool is rated M by the ESRB for Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Mature Humor, Sexual Content & Strong Language. For more information on the game, check out the official Deadpool website.
