3 Things We Don't Like About Dead Rising 3

Capcom's Dead Rising 3 will release later this year exclusively for Xbox One. The game is set 10 years after the events of Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2 with players taking on the role as Nick Ramos. Our protagonist is a mechanic with a mysterious past and now he must take on the undead in the infested South California city of Los Perdidos. At this year's E3 2013, we got a little hands on time with Dead Rising 3 and these are the top five things that we don't like about the upcoming title.

1. The Darker Tone.
While we love zombies and horror, Dead Rising 3 has taken a turn for the darker side of the apocalypse with the humor that we love taking second-place. We love the crazy shit that the game has to offer and don't like parting with even a smidge of it. The cartoonish look is now gone and replaced with realistic colors and tones to give a more realistic approach to the zombie apocalypse.

2. Exclusively on Xbox One.
We would have liked to seen the game explored on more consoles this holiday season with the option to play it on Xbox 360 as well. Some players won't have the cash to buy the Xbox One when it comes out and those fans shouldn't be skipped over.

3. Removal of Time.
Capcom wants players to focus more on the zombies than the time factor in Dead Rising 3. Players will run through darkened neighborhoods and slay zombies in horrific ways with no real motivation to keep moving forward. Dead Rising 3 will feature a more open-world experience, and players will only be able to experience some of the same pressure that time limits delivered in Nightmare Mode.

Dead Rising 3 is attempting to be a game geared more toward Call of Duty fans and while that might appeal to some--we are not particularly fond of the new direction. What do you think?
