Atlus Reveals Several New Images For Dragon's Crown Showcasing Combat and Outfits

Dragon's Crown will release on August 6th for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita systems for $49.99 and $39.99 respectively. Atlus has revealed a ton of new character and combat screenshots for your viewing pleasure to get you ready for the game's release.

From the Press Release
Dragon's Crown isn't a flash-in-the-pan action game; finding the ultimate treasure in the land wouldn't feel very ultimate if it could be recovered in a few hours. To that end, players will have to get very comfortable with their characters, so Dragon's Crown includes customization options:

  • Name - Character names are selected randomly initially, but are fully editable. (within good taste, naturally)
  • Outfit - Each class comes with five different color palette options for their outfits, ranging from "True Steel" to "Deep Crow."
  • Voice - Not only will each class have an English voice, but we've also left the Japanese combat voices in the game. It's a per-character option, so the battlefield can have a mix of languages.
  • Analog - For the old-school fans out there, Dragon's Crown includes an option to switch movement from the analog stick to the D-Pad. (other controls are locked)
Don't forget, there will be a separate voice pack available for free for the first month after the game's launch on August 6. The voice pack changes the narrator's Victorian accent to any of the six playable classes.

Dragon's Crown will be exclusive to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita systems for $49.99 and $39.99 respectively and is available for pre-orders now from major retailers. The game is rated T for Teen by the ESRB. More details about the game are available on the official Dragon's Crown website. Pre-orders and first-run printings will include the 64-page full color Dragon's Crown Artworks book, pictured below. Keep an eye out for a sample of the artbook next week!
