D-Link and Evil Geniuses Join Forces For Upcoming SC2L Competition

D-Link and Evil Geniuses have teamed up to kick-off the new season of tournament play for professional PC gamers. The two-month long competition will consist of eight teams who will compete for a spot in the championships this coming September for prizes totaling $10,000. Read on.

D-Link today joined forces with Evil Geniuses, a world-leading e-sports team and host of the premiere SC2L (StarCraft® II League), to kick-off season one tournament play among its league of distinguished professional PC gamers. Powered by D-Link, the two-month long competition features eight of the West’s top teams competing for a spot at the championships in mid-September at the Dreamhack Open in Bucharest, Romania and to win a portion of the $10,000 prize pool. In support of the league’s mission, D-Link is adding $10 to the crowd-sourced prize pool for every tournament viewer pre-order of its new D-Link® Gaming Router (DGL-5500) with Qualcomm StreamBoost technology*.
