Sony Online Entertainment has announced that Open Beta updates have arrived just in time for July 4th for Dragon's Prophet. Also, fans can keep an eye out for a new zone entitled Wintertide, new dungeons, new gear and much more. Read on to learn about all the new updates and to check out some amazing new images!

From the Press Release
Fireworks in the sky are pretty neat, but dragons filling the sky are #SUPERMETAL. Sony Online Entertainment is getting ready for the 4th of July, but first we have some big Open Beta updates for Dragon's Prophet.

NEW ZONE: WINTERTIDE IS COMING!
First seen at E3, the new Wintertide zone will let players trample through the snow, exploring three challenging dungeons and trying out several new gameplay features. Scheduled to arrive the week of July 15th for North America, there is still time for the biggest dragon enthusiasts to get a closer look before it launches. Let us know if you are interested in a content preview or speaking with the developers prior to the launch of Wintertide.

NEW DUNGEONS!
For those adventuring through the Open Beta recently, you may have experienced The Accursed Tower dungeon. As old as the Chago Kingdom itself, legend holds that the first expedition of researchers from the Eye of Logath all died here under horrible and mysterious circumstances. Adding even more to the tower's mystery, it is also rumored as the former home of Warthorne the Ancient Shadow, the Great Dragon of prophecy and hallucination. The elite of the Eye of Logath are convinced that there is something more and are sworn to solve the tower's mysteries. Yet, any who have attempted to reveal the tower's mystery have become forlorn and plagued with insanity. New screenshot assets for Wintertide and The Accursed Tower are available below!

NEW GEAR!
Players can now adorn their characters in swashbuckling style with the release of the Intrepid Corsair Armor & Seraph Weapon Sets, available starting today. The new armor set is rumored to be the very same armor worn by the fabled Airship Pirate known as Alurian Kel, the Phantom. To avoid being captured for his piracy, Alurian commissioned numerous copies of his lavish garb and gave them to his friends, notable merchants, and business partners as gifts. Due to the outfit's popularity, the Phantom was able to blend into any crowd, unnoticed, and often was mistaken for someone else. The current whereabouts of Alurian Kel are unknown and no one knows if this Armor Set is the original or one of the many copies.

The Intrepid Corsair Armor & Seraph Weapon Sets are available starting today in the Dragon's Prophet in-game marketplace.
