Worms Revolution Extreme Ready to Battle on PlayStation Vita Later this Year

Developer and publisher Team17 have announced their famous Worms franchise will be debuting on the PlayStation Vita handheld console later this year with Worms Revolution Extreme. The new release will add all new features to the beloved series while utilizing the power of the PlayStation Vita to allow portable matches, online wars or Cross-Play with PlayStation 3 consoles.

Worms Revolution Extreme will also support a really cool new function with Cross-Play that will allow friends to team up and unlock special in-game items. The Cross-Gifting feature allows players to share up to 10 gifts by using a lock and key to unlock gifts in offline matches, online battles and across multiple platforms. The game will also use PlayStation Vita's touchscreen features to make choosing items to use in battle more simplistic than ever before. Players can utilize all of the new features in the game's massive 47 campaign missions and 25 puzzles in single player or head to multiplayer matches that support up to 4 unique players. Look for Worms Revolution Extreme to arrive for PlayStation Vita in Q3 2013!
