From the Press Release
Independent game development company Cryptid Studios announced the launch of the latest RPG simulation game, Pocket Oceans. The free iTunes download with allow users to create and manage their own ocean with the swipe of a finger, including choosing from a variety of sea creatures to breed and sell as they aim to cultivate a thriving and expanding sea colony.

Users will have the opportunity to decorate the sea floor with natural and unnatural items much like what would be found in an aquarium, but with the added freedom to expand throughout the vast ocean. Intricate graphics reveal rare and exotic fish. Breeding these aquatic creatures and harvesting flourishing plant life helps users advance through the game, and allows access to greater resources. But marine fanatics beware! Users must also protect their colonies from vicious predators, including crabs, giant walruses and poaching scuba divers.

The need for frequent care of these fragile life forms and complete freedom for customization offer a heightened sense of immersion in the game. A sharing feature also allows users to share and view other oceanic creations among their friends.

"What's great about Pocket Oceans is the option for complete customization. You have the freedom to relax and watch your exotic fish grow, or be more active and battle your fish against vicious sea monsters. It's Zombie Farm meets Fishville. Customize, collect and prepare for battle," says Josh Lulewicz, creator.

This is the second installment from the indie developer - following the successful release of Shark Food - which was previously released under the name of Blue Lobster Studios in 2011. Pocket Oceans is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad with iOS 3.0 or later and launched on August 22.
