Epson has announced that they will be hosting "See Smarter: Moverio Glasses Hackathon - Summer 2013” during August 25-25 in Long Beach, California. The event is free to developers and designers who can send samples of their work online, and a grand prize of $1000 will be handed out to the team with the best concept or demo on the Moverio platform.

What: For Android developers and designers who want to explore the most innovative and useful applications for cutting-edge augmented reality glasses, Epson is hosting a "See Smarter: Moverio Glasses Hackathon - Summer 2013” next weekend, Aug. 24-25 at its U.S. headquarters in Long Beach, Calif.
The event is free and open to any developer or designer who can provide a link to examples of their previous work.
A grand prize of $1000 will be awarded to the team that presents a concept or demo that best takes advantage of the Moverio platform. Two honorable mentions of $500 each will also be awarded. Epson will provide the venue, lunch on Saturday and Sunday, snacks as well as technical counsel and support.
